Clean Williston

Public Works

Clean Williston is a tradition going back over 20 years and is held biannually in the spring and fall.

The fall 2021 Clean Williston event was held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and a total of 2.65 tons of trash and recyclables were collected.

  • Household Garbage (everything picked up!) = .14 Ton
  • Inert (Construction) = .16 Ton
  • Recyclables (cardboard, tin, aluminum, paper) = .05 Ton
  • Metal = .42 Ton
  • Trees/ Wood = 1.38 Ton
  • Tires = .5 Ton
Thank you to Pacific Steel & Recycling, Chamley Pipe & Salvage, North Dakota recycling services, and Williston Public Works for providing the roll-off containers, recycling trailer, and running the event at Davidson Park.

Shout out also to Albertsons and Caffeinated for the grab-n-go breakfast and deliciously warm hot chocolate and coffee!

And thank you to all the individuals and groups listed below as well as the numerous volunteers who came out the day of to help clean our city!

  • Household Garbage (everything picked up!) = 2.74 Ton
  • Cardboard = .12 Ton
  • Trees = .31 Ton
  • Metal = 1.34 Ton
  • Construction Wood = 2.33 Ton
  • Tires = 3.24 Ton
